Downtown Disney Marketplace
Downtown Disney Marketplace is located in Lake Buena Vista, Florida and is an outdoor area that has restaurants, bars, and stores. Disney's Circ Du Soleil - Downtown Disney is also at the Marketplace. The best part about the Marketplace is that it is in walking distance to many of the hotels off of Hotel Plaza Boulevard. The Royal Plaza Walt Disney Resort, Best Western Resort, Holiday Inn Resort are all located within walking distance to the Marketplace.
Many visitors eat at some of the famous restaurants at the MarketPlace after a day at the theme parks. The Marketplace is not in the theme park area and there is no fee to enter. Some of the most popular restaurants are Wolfgang Pucks, Rainforest Cafe, Gourmet Pantry. There is also a free boat ride from one side of the Marketplace to the other.
The area itself is split apart in to the Downtown Disney Marketplace, Pleasure Island, and West Side. The Marketplace is considered all of the stores and restaurants. Pleasure Island are the bars and comedy clubs. The West Side is considered Cirque du Soleil - La Nouba, Planet Hollywood, 24 screen movie theatre, Bongos Cuban Cafè (owned by Gloria Estefan and husband). They really are all added up in to one large outdoor mall area that can be referred to as Downtown Disney.
